Professional
"How do I actually operate with this person?"
The work-decoding lens. Professional Lens analyses two things: your colleague (manager, peer, client, or business partner) and the working dynamic between you two. Drop in a Slack thread or an email exchange, and you get a strategic read on how to operate inside that working relationship — not what they're like at home, what they're like across this table.

Three reasons people run it.
The new hire
You can't tell yet what your manager actually wants. Professional Lens reads their tells in three weeks of Slack and tells you.
The negotiator
You're about to ask for a raise, push back on scope, or bring up a hard call. The lens tells you how this specific person likes to be approached.
The interim leader
You inherited a team you didn't pick. Run the lens on the messages of each direct report and get a quick read on each.
The Modules
What's inside a Professional reading.
- Workplace ArchetypeStrategist, Diplomat, Executor, Ghost, Architect, Operator. A named profile with the specific lines behind it.
- Power & Influence MapHow this person actually moves things. Reference power, expert power, the soft levers they pull.
- Communication EffectivenessWhat lands with them. Bullets or context. Numbers or stories. Speed or precision.
- Emotional Intelligence at WorkSelf-awareness, regulation, empathy — calibrated for the work setting, not the date.
- Collaboration StyleHow they want to work with you — drafts shown early, drafts shown polished, decisions in DM or in meetings.
- Professional DynamicThe relationship pattern between you two. Manager-IC, peer, client-vendor, the asymmetries that matter.
- Your PatternsThe one place the lens turns the mirror back on you — gently, with one specific suggestion.
- Green FlagsThe behaviour you can trust about this person. The receipts.
- Watch ZonesThe tells worth tracking — not "red flags", just "watch this".
- TrajectoryWhere this working relationship is heading and the next move worth making.
A line from a real reading
What Professional Lens sounds like.
"Your manager is a Strategist. She decides in meetings but commits in writing, and she'll always prefer the version of your idea that ends with a number. If you bring her this proposal as bullets-then-decision-needed, she'll say yes in the meeting. If you bring it as story-then-context, she'll thank you and follow up next week. Choose your day."
Useful to know
What Professional Lens does — and doesn't.
What Professional Lens does
- Reads the other person's work behaviour from their messages
- Names their workplace archetype and the power they actually wield
- Tells you the format their decisions like to arrive in
- Surfaces what you're bringing into the dynamic, with one suggestion
- Speaks the strategy language — not the wellness language
What Professional Lens doesn't
- It is not an HR product. Enterprise / hiring use is out of scope.
- It does not score people. There's no "leadership grade".
- It does not predict job performance.
- It does not surface anything you couldn't responsibly observe yourself.
- It is not a license to manipulate. The strategic guidance is for clarity, not control.
