Getting your conversation into the app

WhatsApp

Open WhatsApp, go to the chat you want to read, tap the contact or group name at the top, scroll down and tap Export Chat, then choose Without Media and share it straight to Persona Lens.

Telegram

You can sign in to Telegram from inside Persona Lens, or export by hand: open Telegram Desktop, select the chat, open the three dots menu, choose Export Chat History and pick JSON format.

Anything else

Any conversation you can copy as text can be pasted directly into the app. You do not need an export file.

Your data

Conversations are processed in real time and discarded as soon as the reading is generated. Chat content is never stored on our servers, never logged, and never used to train a model. The reading itself is kept in encrypted storage on your iPhone. Deleting the app removes it. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Purchases and subscriptions

Restoring a purchase

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases. You need to be signed in with the same Apple Account you used originally.

Cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Persona Lens, then Cancel Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the current period ends.

Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases are issued by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

When something goes wrong

The analysis failed

Check that the export is in the expected format: JSON for Telegram, a .txt file for WhatsApp. If it still fails, try the copy and paste option instead, or try a different conversation. If it keeps failing, contact us from the app's Settings screen and say which lens and which format you used.

The reading feels off

Accuracy improves sharply with length. Short exchanges give the model very little to work with, and readings are most reliable above roughly a hundred messages. Persona Lens reads communication patterns. It is built for self-reflection and entertainment, and it is not a diagnosis.

Using it on someone else

The Romantic, Professional, Friendship, Family and Group lenses all read conversations involving other people. Make sure everyone in the conversation is comfortable with you doing that before you upload anything.
